When the grim shadow of nuclear war loomed over Moscow, students of Moscow State University found themselves at the epicenter of tragedy. Sergey, tormented by humiliation and fear, was forced to watch as his fellow victims slowly perished in the basement, cut off from the outside world. Gripped by despair, Sergey made the irrevocable choice to open the door, allowing deadly radiation to flood in. In that fleeting moment, he doubted the correctness of his decision, but it was already too late.
